Wake up Connecticut and New York. New Jersey is winning.
McDonalds is running a new campaign in the New York tri-state area to determine who has the most pride in their borough, state and town. And, the company is running a foursquare contest and will award the region that has the greatest number of foursquare check-ins with Summer parties. Every party attendee will receive a FREE McCafe. New Jersey has already won the first Summer party, but the contest is not over with another party scheduled for early August.
Much has been made of McDonalds face off with Starbucks, and this campaign will undoubtedly drive a large sampling and sales of McDonald’s coffee beverages. The campaign will also increase awareness of foursquare, as McDonalds’ customers will see the foursquare sticker throughout the populous tri-state area. It also confirms just how mainstream foursquare has become.
At Engage121, we help customers use foursquare and other social media platforms to increase loyalty, run smarter daily deals and grow their businesses every day. Contact us and we would be happy to help you.
